This Week's Personal Development Video Seminar - "Two Quick Tips for Success" |
As a responsible adult, it is entirely of your own choosing as to whether you control your mind (and, therefore, your life) or your mind controls you. "Normal" adults subconsciously allow their minds control them. Yet, you can both set your mind to achieve your heart's desires and deliberately focus your mind on what you are doing in the present moment. Ever wondered why supermarkets provide a more fast and efficient service to customers who buy less? Isn’t that what the Express Checkout is (normally for people with less than ten items)! And the latest – at least here in France – is some supermarkets are actually making it more difficult for people who spend more in their shops! One supermarket has just introduced a rule at their petrol stations that if you spend more than €50, you have to provide them with proof of identity – nothing to do with bouncing cheques or anything like that – cash or a gold or platinum credit card require the same formalities.
Now, I thought I’d seen everything in just how badly supermarkets treat the people who provide them with their profits. However, last Sunday, rushing back from Lyon, we arrived at a big local supermarket at midday – exactly midday. “That’s alright” we thought “the place doesn’t close ‘til 12h30”. And we were right – the place doesn’t close until 12h30.
But we, along with a large number of irate customers – one of whom only wanted to purchase five baguettes (and he could see them the other side of the large glass entrance doors) – were prevented from going in by a security guard who told us that, in order for the staff to be finished on time, the shop was now, in fact, closed.
That must be a first – a business hiring security personnel to keep the customers out!The Free Weekly Business & Personal Development | Issue Number: 31 |
