THE SECRET TO PERFECT HEALTH | CLEAR, FOCUSED AND HEALTHY | |||||||||

A lot has been written in this Ezine, on this website, about the benefits of clarity of mind. You become more focused, more attentive, less stressed (or not stressed at all) more in Flow. Flow is not just a mental or spiritual concept (or, in fact reality) it is a physical thing too. For a start, Flow – or being in the zone – is the state in which top athletes outperform everyone else – there is a strong physical dimension and characteristic to flow. A clear state of mind doesn’t just enable you achieve metaphysical goals – it enables you achieve actual physical ones. For starters, whilst clearing the mind will relieve or remove stress, the physical effects of lower stress levels, or no stress at all, will be a reduced heart-rate, lower blood pressure, less pressure on the circulatory system, etc, etc, etc. That is, obviously, an obvious knock-on effect of state of mind. And if the World Health Organization believes stress will be the biggest killer of the 21st century and state of mind controls or cancels out stress, it is obvious that state of mind has a direct physical effect. The point that I am making is that if your mind is in turmoil – and the normal mind is – not only will your life exhibit the downstream effects of that turmoil – so will your health, your fitness, you weight, your consumption of things that are only good for you in moderation! If you are clear in your mind, your body will begin to tell you what is good and bad for you – you will just feel it. If you are clear in your mind any pains or aches that you have will begin to dissipate (I’ll deal with pain in more detail next week), any minor (or major) ailments that you have will vanish. In effect, your life is up to you, your health is up to you – and all that you have to do is take a few minutes each day – today – not just to make the rest of today better but, perhaps, seriously prolong your life and improve the quality of your health as you go. |
