Today's Quick Tip |
How come smokers can nip outside for a quick cigarette? Surely you can do the same for a quick breather - it only takes a few minutes of focused breathing to completely clear your mind of the subconscious noise and the garbage that accumulates during the day. So, today, make sure to take a couple of breathers. Spread them out throughout the day because, in between, your mind will gradually drift back towards its default noisy, distracted self. |

I got a great response to last Wednesday's article. By great, I mean that I got loads of feedback. Very few of you agreed with me - which is good, I'm not sitting here waiting for your agreement! And, of course, if everyone blindly agreed with the stuff I put out on this website, then you'd have just deserted the normal crazy herd (which is a good thing) and joined anothe herd (which is a bad thing). Anyway, I knew that I'd get that kind of response because I know that many of you are self help book fans and afficionados. Some of you said that the books that they had read helped them and that, as a result, they had done new things. But that was my point, self help books only help if you're already of a mind to DO SOMETHING about changing your life. Too many people, however, only want to read something about changing their lives - they like the idea but that's as far as it goes. And that was the point of my article. A number of people also suggested that I should put my recommendations into some sort of online 'library'. It's already there - and has been since the website was launched - you'll find all my recommendations - reading and DVDs - here... The final question is, what are you going to DO today to change your life. It doesn't have to be earth-shattering, it doesn't even have to be something that anyone else would even notice. What it does have to be, however, is something non-routine enough that it unsettles your subconscious. Remember, your subconscious is far too comfortable as it is, you need to start mixing things up. |
