Today's Quick Tip |
In a world gone crazy it's very easy to forget that we need to come to our senses regularly. I mean this literally. From a psychological perspective, your five senses are your only interface with the outside world - you need to pay attention to them. Life is how you see and feel it. If you took the 'how' away and just, for a few, moments, see, feel, hear, smell and taste without passing any judgement on the experience, you might just realize that reality is other than you imagined. |

THE HABIT OF SUCCESS - PART 5: GOOD HABITS | NOT FEELING YOURSELF? | ||||||
|
Worries, frustrations, niggles and doubts are always lurking in the dark corners of our minds - they're part and parcel of normal everyday life. Fear and anxiety creep up on us at the most ridiculous of moments. If you feel anxious, frustrated, worried, stressed or fearful, if you doubt your own abilities or if there’s simply that sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach, then you’re not yourself! All those signs are symptomatic of your subconscious mind – your personality – playing tricks on you. The real you cannot feel anxious, the real you cannot worry or doubt. The real you knows no fear if for no other reason than the fact that fear only exists in the mind of the fearful. So get in touch with the real you – ignore the personality that, in fact, only lives in ignorance. Stop, take a few deep breaths, calm down and focus on the task in hand – seeing it, feeling it, hearing it, smelling it and tasting it – as if for the very first time.
