Today's Quick Tip |
Choose the times at which you're going to stop yourself throughout the day to ask yourself this simple question: "Where am I?" Most of the time, you'll be physically there but mentally elsewhere... it's just the way we're made. But stopping yourself to ask this question at regular intervals will, quite literally, call you to mind, place you in the moment, focus your mind. And focus is the key to happiness and success. |

|
It's all too easy to go through your day, busying yourself or fooling yourself into thinking that you're busy and achieve little or nothing. As normal people who live normal habitual lives, this is the routine mode in which we operate. And, as a result, we never get within spitting distance of achieving our goals. The interesting fact is, however, that, as things stand right now on this Monday morning, you are within spitting distance of your goals - you just need to spit in the right direction! All our actions, all our thoughts, all our intentions should be pointed in the right direction - the one that will get us to where we want to go in life. As an important aside, if you're not sure where you want to go, it's highly unlikely that you're going to get there! What am I saying? In everything you do, in every thought that occupies your mind, you've got to ask yourself the question: 'Will what I'm doing or thinking take me to where I want to go?' If the answer is 'No', stop it! Start doing the things that will take you in the right direction - only you can. You can start right now by changing the routine of your normal habitual day. |
