The above words describe most of our minds. Sometimes we're aware that our minds are lost in the mist of useless thought - more often, we're not. However, if you do suddenly discover that your mind has lured you up a blind alley with the intention of mugging you (we do it to ourselves all the time) don't get annoyed with yourself - guilt only prolongs the agony.
Just take a couple of deep breaths, have a good look at where you are, get in touch with the reality of the moment.
Life is full of new beginnings, sometimes we have to take quite a few of them during one single day!

PRACTICAL TIME MANAGEMENT: ONLY FOCUS ON THE IMPORTANT
How many times have you thought that there aren't enough hours in the day? The available time is not going to change - you're going to have to! Learn how to stop wasting time and how to simply know what's important and what's not. Then you can discard the crap and get on with the things that you need and really want to do. Then you can be open to the opportunity that each unique moment presents us with to live life effectively, productively and successfully.
Are you enjoying the moment? Because, if you’re not – it’s gone! Too late. Life is made up on moments. Too many of us are distracted by the past, some of us are bitter about the past – all of us subconsciously dwell in the past to a greater or lesser extent. The past is what has brought us to where we are – but where we are, here and now, is the only place we are.
Too many of us are distracted by the future – whether that’s good (like looking forward to our holidays) or bad (worrying about what will happen in our careers, our relationships, what will happen us financially). Whilst the past is the route by which we have arrived in this moment, the future is being tainted, moment to moment, by your obsession about it. A holiday over-looked forward to will be a disappointment, whilst worrying invests our energy in the things that we least want to happen, thereby increasing the chances of their coming to pass.
Your future – your success, or failure should you so choose by not bothering to adequately manage your wayward mind – is built on now, the only time and place you have. If you’re not enjoying the now, if you’re not having a good time, then you’re throwing away a unique, once in a lifetime opportunity to be present, effective, productive, turned on – for this now, now passing, will never present itself again. What a waste of life.
So wake up, pull yourself together, give your all to now – you life depends upon it.
