It takes just five minutes - a couple of times a day - to reroute your mental traffic, alter your preferred way of thinking and, in the process, transform your life. So, if you haven't taken that time to empty your mind and focus on just what you see, feel, hear, smell and taste in the moment, do it now.

Today's Reflection
MEDITATION, MINDFULNESS AND RESULTS
Some of my clients prefer the lable mental exercises to meditation, thinking that meditation carries with it a variety of quasi-religious connotations. Perhaps it does in some people's minds but it's just a label... and a label that is increasingly coming into mainstream science in the field of psychology. So, from now on, I'm not going to pull my punches. You should be meditating.
The scientific evidence is beginning to pile up. Just beginning because meditating to focus your mind is just beginning to slip into the mainstream. When I started teaching it seventeen years ago it was far from normal, way far from ordinary. That, of course, was the whole point. You won't have to look far around this website to find evidence of the madness of normal or ordinary people. I don't want to be ordinary. I prefer to be extraordinary - in how I use my mind and in the results that it brings me.
Psychological research is now proving that meditation develops mindfulness and the mindfulness produces results. I cannot put it more simply or concisely than that. If you want anything, meditation focuses the mind - and a focused mind achieves results that ordinary people would find extraordinary.
Armed with the latest evidence, however, you need to be damn careful to ensure that you're sure about what you want!
