DESIRE
If it wasn't the name of a U2 song it was certainly the most mentioned word in one of their songs! Desire can be a very strong emotion or, more often than not, a bloody big stick to beat ourselves with. "I really, really want something but I've done absolutely nothing about achieving it!" It's how goals become dreams and how lives becoming recurring nightmares.
You've got to desire - not in a craving, wanting, needy way, not in a way that makes you a hostage to fortune whereby, if you don't get what you want you'll be miserable. You've got to desire the things that tell you that you've arrived, found your niche or your purpose, that you're doing really well and that you're being well rewarded for doing it.
Look upon desire as your inner compass - a GPS system that will somehow get you to where you should really go without you knowing either the destination or the route.
