If you couldn't have been bothered to take five minutes early today to make sure that you were appropriately focused for the rest of the day, more fool you! But your day can start any time. So, if yours hasn't really got off to the flying start that you would have wished for, in an ideal world, go on, take five minutes - make your world ideal.
"Ideal world" is a now thing. It doesn't matter if everything isn't perfect (it never will be), it doesn't matter what's going on around you. What matters is how you're behaving yourself. So take five minutes. Close your eyes and wakey wakey!
With 2012 drawing to a close, we tend to look both back and forward - and it's the predictions that I want to have a quick look at.
First of all, a friend mentioned to me a couple of weeks back that 2013 would see the merger of Facebook and Twitter. The new company will be called TwitFace - to describe all the people who waste so much of their time baring their lives to anyone who has nothing better to do themselves!
But that's not the prediction that interests me. I see that the Sydney Morning Herald has reported that Pope Benedict has stated that the world isn't going to end on the 21st December.
A real win-win here: if he's right then he must have a direct line to the powers that be. If he's wrong, who's going to know?!
Today's Reflection
A WORLD OF YOUR OWN MAKING
You live in world of your own making. How you choose to behave, misbehave, act or omit to act construct your life: passive, aggressive, extremist, fundamentalist, middle-of-the-road, conservative, adventurous, brave, cowardly, risk-averse, courageous, affectionate, cold, bad-tempered, loving, intemperate, caring, religious, irreligious, charismatic, boring, shy, outgoing, reserved, gregarious, charitable, spiteful, educated, uneducated, successful, failed, positive, negative, irresponsible, responsible, faithful, unfaithful, focused, all-over-the-place...
All the little choices that you make, when taken together, create the fabric of every aspect of your reality. If you don't like your life, have a quiet word with the manufacturer.
