Over the last few Ezines, we've been talking about appropriately describing purpose to your subconscious mind - last time we talked about having two or three key things (related to key purposes) that you should earmark for completion each day. Today I want to remind you of the one key thing you must do every day to ensure that you are the star of your own show for the day in question... today. You need to meditate and you need to do it first thing. Of all the priorities that you might think you have today this is the one that is, by far and away, the most important - it will make the achievement of all else so relatively effortless.
And a Few More Thoughts!
BEING THE STAR OF YOUR OWN SHOW!
Reality TV has nothing on the dramas, soap operas, comedies and tragedies that make up normal everyday life. Normal lives are littered with nasty bosses, double-crossing colleagues, devious behaviour, office gossip, one-upmanship, keeping up appearances, etc., etc., etc.... no doubt you've got your own list and, no doubt, it's not all bad either - I did mention comedy!
Whilst the vast majority of this nonsense (because nonsense it is) is the product of our own over-active normal crazy minds, it has a direct impact on our reality (or our perceived reality) to the point that hundreds of thousands of people around the developed world will die prematurely this year as a result of the related self-induced stress... and that's a scientific fact, just ask the World Health Organization in Geneva.
The horrible truth is that we normally end up playing a bit part in someone else's drama - the wronged colleague, the office gossip, that nasty boss I mentioned earlier - when we should, in fact, be not just the star of our own show, we should be the writer, producer and director. That's what leading your life is all about - that's, first and foremost, what the last nine ezines (this one included) are actually all about. After all, you're neither fit nor capable of leading anyone else until you start leading your own life first. And that's a major challenge for all of us because we're just not made that way.
If you chose to write your own script for your own day today - bearing in mind that it would simply be one scene in a much bigger blockbuster - what would today look like, what would it feel like? Would you be a superhero or would you be the bystander in a cast of thousands? Would you simply do what you need to do without dithering or procrastinating? Would you be Action Man or Action Girl?
Today is the most important day of your life - because it's the only one you'll get to live today... how are you going to use that glorious opportunity?
By the way...
