Now, I know straight away that, as I announce my new App, some of you will say "It's about bloody time" - and so it is (it is, to be fair, the last piece of a jigsaw that's taken over four years to put together).
Be that as it may, I am - today - announcing the launch of MYpsyberCoach... "My what?"... well, a visit to the App's website might just explain a little more - you can visit MYpsyberCoach.com here... And, as you might imagine, the App is not all about meditation - even though meditation is a key feature. There's more to mindfulness than the training... a lot more, it's called living!
Only last week, I read a restaurant review in The Guardian bemoaning the food, service and attitude at one of Paris's leading Michelin-Starred restaurants. Among the issues that the reviewer took was the fact that female customers were treated in a less than equal manner... what follows will explain just how for, just before Easter, myself and Lisa took ourselves off to Beaujolais. On our first evening, we visited a well-respected restaurant where the food and wine ended up being just perfect... parfait as we say!! But, when I mentioned to Lisa that we might go for the €59 menu - the prices sort of shot up a little after that, she said "What are you talking about? Where are the prices?" Apparently, it's the height of French chivalry to present only the men with the prices! Bet you you don't know how much anything costs... you're just a woman!!
A Quick Tip
THIS IS YOUR LIFE
Throughout the day, constantly remember that, regardless of what is going on, this is your life. Your life is now, you had better turn up to it, appreciate it, be grateful for it and live every moment of it to the full. Start by pausing, having read this, to live and appreciate just this moment.
SUCCESS AND HAPPINESS
People often say to me that they somehow feel a little shallow when they visual their goals in material terms: the nice house, the big car, whatever. And, all too often, the world in which we live defines and measures success in visible terms - what we have to show for our "success". Sadly, this means of measuring success is both superficial and, all too often, comparative... mine is bigger than yours!
Now, you and I both know that success and happiness amount to a lot more than the superficial. But, in terms of how the subconscious mind grabs a hold of our goals and objectives, the superficial can be important linchpins - something that our subconscious can get its teeth into. So, if, in visualizing your happiness and success, a particular car or a particular location tickles your fancy, remember that this is the stuff that galvinizes us into action... but not for the purposes of achieving the material.
The material or outward signs are just that - signposts for our inner selves, indicators that, if I "have" this, that or the other, it is symbolic of my having "arrived" at one or more of my goals. My goals may be big and grand and imbue both me and those I love with a feeling of achievement - the outward expressions of that achievement are no more nor no less than that.
Happiness and success comes in all shapes and sizes - one size has never fitted anyone. It is you - and you alone - who chooses which outward tokens or symbols of apparent material success you will use to excite your subconscious into the effortless action to enable you achieve the greater goals that cannot be simply expressed in material terms.
DO YOU WANT TO FOCUS? DO YOU WANT TO BANISH STRESS?
In one intensive but relaxed day, you will learn what is wrong with our normal neural "wiring" and how, as a result, our mind normally works against us. You will learn how to:
Purposefully focus - it doesn't come naturally, we're actually "wired" to not focus
Set goals in a way that energizes your subconscious into focused effortless action
Make your very best decisions and solve problems with ease - your brain can do this effortlessly
Banish stress - we're ordinarily "wired" to be stressed
