Let your instincts guide you. Our minds evolved to ensure that our instincts always led us in the right direction - especially when we encountered danger. Our "gut instinct" is what saved us then and what can guide our lives now. But you've got to be able to hear it properly. So, today, take ten minutes out to watch the world go by. Let your mind settle and, as it settles, it will enable you settle everything.
I was sitting enjoying my lunch in a Dublin restaurant when the people at the next table called the waiter over. "I can't each this stuff" the lady said "Why not?" asked the waiter. The lady's husband butted in "Listen, fella, she said she can't eat it!" "The Chef will like to know the problem" the waiter offered. "It's the salad" the lady said "what are these leaves?" "Rocket" replied the waiter. "Well, I can't eat them - they sure look like leaves we have in the States - rookalo - but they don't taste anything like them". The waiter replied "Well, in Italy, they're called rucola" - he was correcting her pronunciation! - "and rucola is the Italian for rocket!!" He turned on his heel and walked away... hard to know which of them had the bigger attitude problem!!

SO YOU WANT TO LIVE YOUR LIFE
It should hardly come as a surprise to you - today's video provides, I hope, some further insight into meditation. I keep banging on about it because it is the one, sure, proven, speeding and effective way to get your mind tuned up, tuned in and working for you.
Sure enough, awareness, focus and mindfulness can "grow on us", little by little, the more we immerse ourselves in trying to get to grips with what we want out of life and, as a consequence, how our more informed mind goes about selecting what to do today that will move me in the right direction and deselecting what not to do - stuff that drags me down or away from both the here and now and my preferred direction.
But why take the circuitous route when there's a direct line? Five minutes meditation most days will alter your perception, restructure your brain and transform your life within a matter of a couple of months. I regularly get feedback from clients that us words like "liberating" or "transformation" or phrases like "life changing". And that is simply because the people in question are meditating regularly and frequently. People who take this simple action change their lives in weeks - they really do.
And we're not talking about superficial change - we're talking about new homes, new business ventures or new business directions, career changes, new relationships or an end to old ones, new involvement in leisure activities that had fallen by the wayside, more time with loved ones and family, more me time, more about "me" - in a good-selfish way... all about living life to the full now. As one guy said to me: "I'm achieving so much, now, on all fronts - and I'm doing it all without half killing myself!!"
And it's all down to meditation... do it frequently, do it often.
