There is a vast wealth of scientific evidence that your subconscious mind largely lives in the past, whilst your conscious mind largely looks forward to or worries about the future. Yet you only exist now. There’s not a single cell in your body today that formed part of you seven years ago. There’s not a single molecule of you that is constantly vibrating with each vibration renewing each molecule’s state. There isn’t a single string of energy within you that isn’t constantly vibrating in and out of existence many thousands of times each second. The person who started reading this sentence is fundamentally not the same person who is finishing it. Everything only exists now. Your normal mind, obsessed with formative years’ programming, uses this “knowledge” to make sense of now and, in the process, makes a nonsense of the reality of the moment. You see, perceive and experience, what you think and expect to see, perceive and experience. You are not experiencing now. Your life is defined in moments of reality. You had better start living these moments – they are all you have and they are the only place and time where you can take real action to enhance your life. You can more fully experience the moment by attending to the information your five sense – your sole interface with reality – are supplying. You need to come to your senses. |
