Today's Quick Tip |
If you find yourself annoyed, frustrated, anxious of stressed, these are all products of defective thinking - if you've got something difficult to do, you'd better do it - if you're in a bind, it will pass. Get out of your defective ways by taking one step back. Remind yourself of what had you annoyed or stressed this time last year - I wonder how difficult that might be! |

THE HABIT OF SUCCESS - PART 1: WHAT'S SO BAD ABOUT HABITS? | DESTINATION UNKNOWN | ||||||
|
What steps do you deliberately take each day to ensure that you stay or track? Do you even know what 'on track' means to you? Do you know what you want to achieve? Do you know what makes you happy? Do you know where you want to go in life? Or are you just happy to go with the flow? The problem is, when normal people talk about going 'with the flow', they mean that they'll just take life as it comes. Given that, as normal people, we've no real idea of what's going on (take a look at today's video), that version of going 'with the flow' won't do. Simply react to life is a passive manner and you'll get precious little out of the experience if, in fact, you could actually call that a real experience at all. As we drift with that version of the 'flow' we are as good as zombies - dead from the neck up. That's not living, it's existing. And if that's how things are for you, you're missing the opportunity of a lifetime - the opportunity presented by what's going on moment to moment in your life. In order to spot the opportunities that will appropriately get you to where you want to go in life, you have to know some of the answers to all of the questions that I asked above - or, for starters, you've got to ask yourself those questions. Until you do, it's very unlikely that you'll ever reach your unknown destination. |
