Today's Quick Tip |
Take a couple of minutes. Get a piece of paper. Write down the things that you definitely should NOT be doing today. Your list might include: thinking useless thoughts, worrying, gossiping, needlessly reading every email, listening or watching all the bad news that makes you feel that it's OK to be just OK! There's lots more, of course, we all have our own wonderful ways of wasting time, feeling busy but getting nothing done that will bring us to where we want to be. Stop the nonsense and you might make sense of your life. |

Last Monday, I posed a question for you - 'Do you know what you want from life?" You'll find the detailed question here. You need to be able to answer this question for yourself - because your answer will focus your mind. And how your mind is focused determines your behaviour, actions and reactions. Without that focus, your mind will continue to focus on what it's been focusing on for the entirety of your adult life - the stuff you learned, for better or for worse, during your fomative years. And that is why so many people feel that their lives go round and round in ever-decreasing circles. Break the cycle. Focus your mind. Paint yourself a picture of what it would be like to achieve what you want - and write it down - handwrite it. But don't be confused, simply wirting it down, whilst it concentrates the mind, will not, of itself, bring the things about. Focusing your mind enables you to act and behave in a manner that will lead you onwards and upwards. After all, if you know where you want to go, you're far more likely to get there. |
